Our Goal:
At United Bank of Iowa we want to develop a fun banking relationship
with children age 12 and under while teaching them good saving habits,
money management and banking!
Our Mascot:
"Hi kids, I’m Ubi the Money Bee and I think savings is sweet!" I’m
named after United Bank of Iowa. I am also a Unique Banking
Individual just like
you...with my own special savings needs. As you grow up, I want to help you learn
about banking and saving money while having fun!
Honey of a Deal:
Club members receive Ubi bucks when making deposits into their savings
account. Ubi bucks can then be used to purchase free-bees.
What is a Ubi Buck?
It is our special club cash that members receive with any deposit of $1.00
or more. Deposits made by an adult to the child's account will earn one
Ubi buck. We want to encourage children to make their own deposits,
therefore, deposits made by the child will be rewarded with two Ubi bucks.
What is a Free-bee?
Free-bees are special gifts that can be purchased with Ubi bucks to reward
kids for saving their money. Stop into any UBI office to check out our
unbeelievable display of free-bees.
"The Buzz":
All club members will receive Ubi's newsletter, "The Buzz,"
every other month. It includes information on upcoming club events,
activities, and "Ubi the Money Bee" appearances that are
happening in your community and at your local United Bank of Iowa
office. It might be announcing a coloring contest, a guessing game, or
some other fun activity along with prizes you could win.* There will be
educational articles to teach club members about saving along with fun
puzzles, jokes, recipes just for kids, and more!
